To help your child learn the lower case letter i.
Goal
At the end of the lesson your child will be able to recognize the lower case letter i and say its name.

Introductory activity
What you will need:
- A tub of molding clay (like Play-Doh)
What to do:
- Model the lowercase n out of the clay.
- Show your child the sculpture and tell them that it is a lowercase n, and that it makes the sound ‘nuh’ when in a word.
- Ask them to try to mold a lowercase n like yours.
Challenge
If your child learns the lower case i right away, have them work on the supplemental worksheets for the letter i.
Reinforcement activity
Print out the attached worksheet. Ask your child to complete the worksheet by themselves. Feel free to help them if they get stuck or ask any questions.
Evaluation
In order to see if your child has achieved the goal of this lesson, ask him to pick out the letter i on a piece of paper with the small letter i and other letters written on it.
