Objective
To help your child learn the lowercase letter c.
Goal
At the end of the lesson your child will be able to recognize the lower case letter c and say its name.

Introductory activity
What you will need:
- magazine
- scissors
- glue
- paper
What to do:
- Draw a lower case c on the top of a piece of paper and tell your child that it is the lower case c.
- Look through the magazine together to find lower case letter cs in the titles.
- Let your child cut them out.
- Then, ask your child to paste them on the paper repeating the letter c and its sounds (‘sss and kuh’) while they do the activity.
Challenge
If your child learns the lower case c right away, have them work on the supplemental worksheets for the letter C.
Reinforcement activity
Print out the attached worksheet. Ask your child to complete the worksheet by themselves. Feel free to help them if they get stuck or ask any questions.
Evaluation
In order to see if your child has achieved the goal of this lesson, write the small letter c among other letters on a piece of paper and ask them which letter is the letter c.
