Lots of countries start children writing in cursive at a younger age than we do in the United States. For example, in France, students start cursive handwriting Love to Pivot in kindergarten. One option parents can take is to slowly teach cursive at the same time as they are teaching their children how to write in simple manuscript while they are still young.
